Server and Bartender
Hominy Southern Kitchen is a small, family owned and operated restaurant. At Hominy we have a dedication to great food and hospitality and we’re seeking members with the same vision to join and grow with our team. We are preparing for our outdoor patio season and are hiring for every position in front of house. We are looking for servers/bartenders with great attitudes! The ideal candidate is able to multitask under pressure while maintaining a cool and calm demeanor. We are looking for team players who are friendly, dependable, responsible, and punctual. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of serving experience in a full service restaurant. We will train you to become an awesome bartender! We are a pooled house and emphasize teamwork. We offer family meals every shift, discount dining, flexible schedules, uniforms and paid training All candidates (foh & boh) should possess a warm, gregarious, and hospitable demeanor. Candidates should also possess the following skills, but should not be restricted to: Skills · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills during high volume and high-pressure settings · Must be able to maintain tact and cool under pressure · Ability to take initiative · Professional appearance and demeanor · Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Take and process orders accurately using POS systems, Toast experience a plus.
- Prepare and serve beverages and food items while adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage time efficiently during busy service periods and assist in banquet/event setups as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to enhance service quality.
