Primary Responsibility: Welds together structural metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions. Material Knowledge: Utilizes knowledge of the working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials, including the specifications of the equipment to be used in the welding process. ? Tank Testing: Performs tank testing and associated duties as required. Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: ? Welding Proficiency: Ability to pass a welding test in the overhead and vertical positions, based on the certifications being sought. Desirable Experience & Training: ? Experience/Training: Prior experience as a welder or vocational training in welding is acceptable.
