Senior Software Engineer Department: Information Technology Employment Type: Full Time Location: Gainesville, FL Reporting To: Gnan Subramaniam Description Senior Software Engineer with a proven track record of over 5 years in building robust, scalable, and innovative full-stack web and mobile applications. An expert in React Native and Node.js, with a strong flair for design using Figma. Experience in cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure, coupled with a deep understanding of DevOps practices. Ability to handle complex medical image processing, coupled with machine learning and data processing expertise. Key Responsibilities ? Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of full-stack web and mobile applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. ? Collaborate closely with senior management and stakeholders to define and implement cutting-edge features that align with business goals. ? Utilize Figma to create visually appealing and user-centric interfaces, while maintaining a keen eye for detail and design consistency. ? Oversee and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, optimizing for performance, security, and scalability, while minimizing costs. ? Implement and advocate for DevOps best practices, including continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, to streamline the development lifecycle. ? Apply your expertise in medical image processing to solve complex challenges, contributing to the development of innovative healthcare solutions. ? Leverage machine learning and data processing techniques to extract actionable insights, enhancing the functionality and intelligence of our applications. ? Mentor and lead junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages continuous learning and growth. ? Skills Knowledge and Expertise Education: ? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. Experience: ? 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack web and mobile application development. ? Deep expertise in React Native and Node.js, with a portfolio of successfully launched applications. ? Proficiency in design tools, particularly Figma, with the ability to translate design concepts into fully functional user interfaces. ? Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure, including managing resources, monitoring, and cost optimization. Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: ? Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerization. ? Experience in medical image processing, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this domain. ? Proficient in machine learning techniques and data processing workflows with LLM, and the ability to implement these in real-world applications. ?
