Security Supervisor

Job Details Description The Security Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the Security Guards. The Security Supervisor, will direct and coordinate activities relating to the protection, safeguarding, and security of company assets, employees, residents, invitees, and others. Ensure goals and objectives are accomplished with prescribed priorities, time limitations and fiscal responsibilities. Exercises independent judgment while carrying out overall responsibilities and other activities as assigned. Essential Functions ? Plans, examines, analyzes, and supervises The Highlands at Wyomissing?s security operations, inclusive of physical security assets and security personnel. ? Evaluates current procedures and practices, for accomplishing The Highlands at Wyomissing activities and functions relative to security. ? Identifies and resolves security related problems. ? Develops and implements alternative methods for security operation improvement. ? Coordinates activities within the security area. ? Orders supplies and equipment as needed. ? Develops preventative security programs. ? Performs audits of security-related performance and conducts physical surveys, including security equipment condition. ? Schedules, initiates, and documents fire readiness drills as required by regulation or as deemed appropriate in all levels of care. ? Serves as a liaison with public law enforcement, fire, and other agencies as it relates to security at The Highlands at Wyomissing. ? Directs and coordinates, through a subordinate and/or contract personnel, The Highlands at Wyomissing security functions, utilizing knowledge of established policies, procedures, and practices. ? Initiates personnel actions such as recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions, discipline or dismissal measures, and evaluates employee performance. ? Prepares work schedules; assigns or delegates responsibilities. ? Provides work directives for security personnel. ? Sets deadlines to ensure completion of operational security functions. ? Serves as the security guard on weekdays, first shift; when needed, also serves as the security guard on other shifts. Education And Experience Requirements ? High school diploma (Required) ? Non-Degree Program: Security Related Field (Preferred) ? 1-3 Years of experience in a security related role (Preferred)Possess outstanding customer service ability ? Excellent Customer Service and Communications Skills ? Excellent Interpersonal Skills ? Possesses excellent organizational skills ? Demonstrates good judgment and draws sound conclusions ? Remains calm in all situations and demonstrates problem solving abilities ? Maintains a high degree of confidentiality without compromise ? Microsoft Office products, general computer knowledge.
