As a Retail Space Planner, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing the layout of our retail spaces, ensuring that they are both aesthetically pleasing and practical. Design and optimize retail spaces to create functional and visually appealing shopping experiences for customers. Utilize creativity and design skills to maximize space and create efficient layouts. Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency and alignment with company standards. Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices in retail space planning. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to source materials and furniture for retail spaces. Use data and analytics to inform decisions and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Work closely with store managers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate them into the design process. Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of retail space plans. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design plans and make necessary adjustments as needed. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of retail space layouts and make necessary adjustments to improve customer experience. Ensure all retail spaces meet safety and accessibility standards. Train and mentor junior space planning team members to ensure high-quality work and growth opportunities. Maintain a strong understanding of the IKEA brand and incorporate it into all retail space designs. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote creativity and innovation.
