Overnight Hotel Security Officer- Part Time

About the position The Overnight Hotel Security Officer at The Colony Palm Beach is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for hotel staff and guests while protecting the hotel's assets. This part-time role involves monitoring security systems, conducting regular patrols, responding to emergencies, and providing excellent customer service to guests. The officer will also perform front office duties as needed and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Responsibilities ? Ensure a safe environment for hotel staff, guests, and visitors. , ? Monitor video surveillance to identify disruptions or unlawful acts. , ? Administer the Lost & Found program and comply with hotel policies. , ? Conduct interior and exterior walkthroughs in all areas of the hotel. , ? Patrol hallways, parking lots, and other areas to maintain safety and security. , ? Observe and report potential security risks to management. , ? Prepare and submit daily written security reports. , ? Respond to emergency calls immediately and assist guests as needed. , ? Perform front office duties during the absence of front desk staff. , ? Answer the front office telephone using correct etiquette within 3 minutes. , ? Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out processes. , ? Transport guest luggage and deliver requested items to guest rooms. , ? Monitor and maintain cleanliness of all areas, both interior and exterior. , ? Screen individuals entering the employee entrance for authorization. , ? Assist with investigations and document incidents as required. Requirements ? High school diploma or equivalent. , ? 1 year of experience in a Security or Loss Prevention role in a hotel/resort/residential environment. , ? Valid driver's license with a good driving record. , ? Ability to drive both standard and manual transmission vehicles. , ? Thorough knowledge of hotel services and facilities. , ? Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. , ? Strong guest service skills and a passion for hospitality. , ? Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure. , ? Basic mathematical computation skills. Nice-to-haves ?
