Job Type: Per Diem/Part-time, Direct Hire Pay: $21-22 an hour Hours: Per Diem Primary Responsibilities: Front Office: ? Welcome patients warmly, manage intake forms, and efficiently schedule appointments. ? Navigate full-cycle patient registration, including insurance verification, eligibility checks, fee communication, and payment collection. ? Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating patient demographics and insurance information in the electronic health records system. Back Office: ? Measures and records vital signs, patient medical history and chief complaints. ? Prepares patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests. ? Assists physician with exams and other procedures. ? Prepares and administers medications and injections/blood draws with physician authorization as needed. ? Maintains supplies, equipment, stocks and sterilizes instruments. ? Maintains clean facility, rooms and waiting area. Qualifications: ? Completion of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program (MA Certificate not required if you do front desk only). ? BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. ? Knowledge in Insurance Verification and Authorizations is preferred. ? 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred. ? Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required! Skills and Abilities: ? Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. ? Proficient in medical terminology, medications, and injection procedures. ? Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, staff, and management. ? Demonstrated empathy and a commitment to treating all patients with kindness and consideration. ? Thorough understanding of HIPAA requirements for maintaining patient confidentiality. ?
