Field Claims Adjuster Auto Damage
About the position As an Auto Damage Claims Adjuster at Progressive, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, overseeing the entire repair process from start to finish. This role involves managing your own inventory, negotiating repair pricing with body shops, and assessing liability while providing excellent customer service. The position requires frequent driving within your assigned geographical area and may involve occasional office reporting. Responsibilities ? Complete vehicle inspections and write estimates. , ? Determine total loss evaluations and set clear expectations and timelines. , ? Negotiate the repair process with body shops. , ? Document information related to the claim and make decisions consistent with claims standards and local laws. , ? Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments. , ? Review and determine the validity of any supplement requests. Requirements ? A minimum of four years of relevant work experience with one year of appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience, OR an Associate's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience with one year of appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience, OR a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience. , ? Valid driver's license and auto insurance, complying with Progressive's driving standards. Nice-to-haves ? Experience in leadership and conflict management. , ? Strong attention to detail. , ?
