Develop and implement strategic communication plans to promote state initiatives and engage with the public. Serve as the primary point of contact for all media inquiries and develop strong relationships with media outlets. Write and edit press releases, speeches, talking points, and other communication materials. Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide regular updates to key stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding. Plan and execute press conferences, media events, and other public outreach activities. Maintain a strong understanding of current events and issues related to the state government and provide timely updates to relevant parties. Respond to public inquiries and feedback in a timely and professional manner. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and advocacy groups. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communication and public relations. Act as a liaison between the state government and the public, promoting transparency and fostering positive relationships. Represent the state government in a professional and positive manner at all times. Manage and maintain the state's social media presence, including creating and scheduling content and monitoring engagement. Prepare and deliver presentations to various groups, including government officials, community organizations, and the general public.
