Apprentice Electrician

Job Title: Apprentice Electrician Location: Santa Monica, CA Job Type: Full-Time Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Santa Monica, CA. The Apprentice Electrician will work closely with our licensed electricians to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and gain practical experience in the electrical industry. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems such as switchboards, circuits, electric appliances, heating devices, and lighting. 2. Handle electrical installation faults and emergencies. 3. Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. 4. Assist electricians in diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. 5. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations. 6. Work in tandem with the licensed electrician to perform basic tasks such as cutting wire or installing outlets. 7. Observe safety procedures and protocols at all times. 8. Keep work areas clean and tools and equipment properly stored. 9. Attend vocational education and training classes to complete electrician apprenticeship program. Qualifications: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent 2. Current enrollment or completion of electrician apprenticeship program 3. Basic knowledge and understanding of the electrical systems, tools, equipment, and safety measures. 4. Ability to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions. 5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 6. Good physical condition and hand-eye coordination. 7. Valid driver?s license 8. Must pass a background check and drug test. Requirements: 1. Willingness to learn from experienced electricians 2. Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring 3. Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations 4. Ability to use electrical and hand tools effectively and safely 5. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. Note: This is typically a physically demanding job, and work could be performed in various weather conditions.
