Transportation Security Officer Position The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Transportation Security Officer. As a critical component of the TSA's security operations, this position requires the ability to provide exceptional service and ensure the safety of air travelers. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various screening equipment and technology to identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo, and on passengers.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to safeguarding national security. As a Transportation Security Officer, you will be responsible for performing searches and screenings, which may include physical interaction with passengers, conducting bag searches, and lifting/carrying bags weighing up to 50 pounds. You will also use your keen eye for detail to detect potential security threats and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and secure environment for all passengers. Key Responsibilities ? Operate X-ray machines and other screening equipment to inspect luggage and cargo ? Conduct pat-downs and searches of passengers and their belongings ?
