IT Asset Analyst

Job Title: SACM (Software Asset Configuration Management) Analyst – Austin, TX Location: Must be in driving distance of Austin, TX. Will be required to work in office in addition to work from home Job description: • Gain Familiarity with established processes and procedures in the Service Management Manual (SMM), specifically: • 502 - Asset Inventory and Management • 504 - Configuration Management • 514 – Procurement • 515 – Software License Management • 519 – Application Portfolio Management • Registers and/or ensures registration of new Assets / Configuration Items (CIs), Contracts as appropriate • Maintains proper relationships as outlined in the SMM • Assist in the Audits of the CMDB to ensure accuracy – through automation and data validation in conjunction with the Data Quality Management (DQM) workstream • Proactively identifies discrepancies and drives to closure CMDB Updates to maintain accuracy of the CMDB • Provides reporting, both operational and ad-hoc reports as requested • Follows and promotes SACM/SWLC processes & technology standards • Works closely with the stakeholders of CMDB data and ensures CI changes are reflected in accordance with established processes and procedures as outlined in the SMM • Facilitates meetings with stakeholders to discuss current projects, future enhancements and continuous service improvement as needed • Special projects to address on-going CMDB accuracy and completeness • Identification of process improvements Required Skills: • Experience with SW Licensing and/ or Strong desire to learn software licensing • Experienced with Microsoft Office 365, with advance skills in MS Excel and Outlook • Experience using ticketing tool, ServiceNow preferred • Self-Motived, Strong attention to detail, Strong organizational skills, and Strong time management skills • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) • Team player with a positive attitude • Local to Austin, TX and willing to work a hybrid work schedule • ITAR requires US Citizen or Green Card Holder Desired Skills: • Aware of IT Service Management processes and ITIL • Aware of basic statistical data analysis techniques • Ability and comfortable interacting with all levels of management, business leaders and technology stakeholders • Experience in using data management platforms and/or reporting platforms including SQL queries against databases • Basic Java or JavaScript • ITIL v4 Certified (or willing to become certified within 1 year and based on ITIL v4 certification class availability) • Proficiency in ServiceNow Life at Capgemini Capgemini supports all aspects of your well-being throughout the changing stages of your life and career.
