Senior Salesforce Developer/Architect

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic Salesforce Platform Development team. This is a hands-on contract role that will play a critical part in designing, building, and maintaining complex Salesforce solutions while ensuring seamless integration with third-party systems. Working closely with the IT team lead, you will help drive the technical direction of Salesforce implementations and provide mentorship to junior developers. This is a contract opportunity based in McKinney, TX, with the requirement to be onsite 3 days a week. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Key Responsibilities: • Design, build, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions based on business requirements. • Perform demos to showcase product functionality and progress to stakeholders. • Create and maintain documentation for code, processes, and standard operating procedures. • Ensure the development of high-quality systems with an emphasis on reliability, security, scalability, and auditability. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other Salesforce team members, participating in code reviews and requirement analysis. • Collaborate with the Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE) and leadership to drive continuous improvement in platform practices. • Assist with roadmap planning and enterprise-level architectural decisions. Required Skills & Experience: • 10+ years of professional experience in IT, with 3+ years of Salesforce development expertise (SOQL/SOSL, jQuery, APEX, Visualforce). • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce Lightning and APEX development. • Strong understanding of object-oriented application architectures and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). • Proven experience with Salesforce development best practices and the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including tools like Salesforce DX. • Strong communication skills, able to work both independently and within a team to build consensus and mentor fellow developers. • Experience with integration patterns including SOAP/REST web services, APIs, batch processes, and middleware. • Understanding of security best practices (authentication, SSL, SSO, etc.). • Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party applications. • Familiarity with mass data integration/handling tools like Informatica is a plus.
