Duties & Responsibilities • Safely and promptly transport goods destined for store delivery. • Transfer and load cargo at each scheduled drop-off spot. • Uphold compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and adhere to Dollar General's safety policies. • Secure timely deliveries to retail stores and distribution centers. • Engage in pre-travel and post-travel assessments of designated vehicles. • Provide outstanding customer support to store employees and vendors. Qualifications • Holding a valid Class A commercial driver's permit. • One year of prior experience driving tractor-trailers is essential for the job. • Participation is restricted to those who have surpassed the age of 20. • Understanding the stipulations of DOT regulations and federal safety standards for motor carriers is vital. • Adequate in managing and lifting cargo of up to 50 lbs in weight.
