This role is essential in safely transporting residents to medical appointments and activities while ensuring their well-being. Success in this position requires reliability, professionalism, and strong patient care skills while maintaining safe driving practices at all times. Your Impact as a Transportation Aide - CNA In this role, you will: • Safely Transport Residents: Drive residents to and from medical facilities, therapy sessions, and other scheduled activities. • Ensure Resident Care During Transport: Monitor residents' comfort and safety while they are away from the facility. • Identify & Report Concerns: Observe residents for any changes in condition during transport and report concerns to management or clinical staff. • Assist with Mobility: Help residents with ambulation and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices. • Monitor Vital Signs: Record and track residents' vital signs when necessary during transport. • Support Nursing Team: Assist with nursing aide duties at the facility when transport duties are not required. What Makes You a Great Fit We’re seeking someone who: • Holds a valid state driver’s license in good standing. • Is at least 25 years of age (due to insurance constraints). • Has a current Nursing Assistant Certification from the state. • Maintains an acceptable driving record verified by the Department of Motor Vehicles. • Successfully completes the Employee Driver Proficiency program in a timely manner. • Demonstrates strong communication skills, patience, and self-discipline. • Can effectively record information and perform technical procedures as needed. • Qualifies for company insurance, passes the DMV check, and practices safe defensive driving skills.
