About the position As an HVAC Mechanic Apprentice at Johnson Controls, you will embark on a journey to develop your skills in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Responsibilities • Perform routine service and inspections on HVAC mechanical equipment as assigned by the Employer. , • Change and service filters for HVAC systems. , • Oil and grease mechanical components as needed. , • Adjust or replace belts in HVAC systems. , • Clean cooling towers, coils, evaporator and condenser tubes, and maintain general housekeeping standards. , • Assist in the operation of mechanical systems under contract with customers. , • Conduct cleaning and routine maintenance of solar energy equipment. , • Engage in Indoor Air Quality related work, including maintenance of duct systems and drain pans. Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent. , • Light technical and mechanically inclined. , • Passion and desire to learn and apply skills on the job. , • Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills. , • Self-starter with the ability to eventually work independently. , • Prioritize safety in all forms. , • Valid driver's license required.
