Dental Hygienist This position is responsible for performing dental prophylactic services and providing education for the prevention and control of dental disease. Work is performed under supervision of dentist. Work is performed in usual clinic conditions; Clean, package, and sterilizes dental instruments using proper technique Disinfect chairs, cabinets and machines after dental treatments Take inventory of instruments with proper documentation that it occurred Serve as Dental Assistant when needed Ensure dental supplies are on hand and ordered in a timely manner Since 1989, TTUHSC Managed Care has served as a healthcare delivery service, providing high quality, low cost healthcare to patients within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system.
