Pharmacy Cashier

About the position The Pharmacy Cashier at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while efficiently managing sales transactions. This role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The cashier will also assist in maintaining store operations and cleanliness, as well as participating in training and personal development activities. Responsibilities • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience. , • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service. , • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. , • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience. , • Models and shares customer service best practices with team members. , • Develops strong relationships with valuable customers. , • Processes customer purchases, collects cash, and distributes change as requested. , • Recommends items for sale and assists with OTC products. , • Operates pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status. , • Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies. , • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves. , • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss. , • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. , • Constructs and maintains displays and completes resets as directed. , • Assists with store maintenance to ensure a neat appearance. , • Complies with all company policies and procedures. , • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned. Requirements • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. , • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. Nice-to-haves • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment. , • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
