About the position Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a Journeyman Technical Writer who will provide essential technical writing support for operations out of JBSA Lackland AFB in Texas. This position is contingent upon contract funding. Responsibilities • Provide day-to-day support in documenting / writing technical materials, equipment manuals, appendices, operating manuals and internal network layouts. , • Ability to take existing and potential content and improve it. , • Write documentation for internal teams such as developers and programmers. , • Prepare instruction manuals. , • Create product manuals with screenshots and tutorials. , • Have technical accuracy in writing user documentation. , • Create software documentation after a thorough collaboration with subject matter experts and technical staff. , • Convert complex documentation to easy language for multiple audiences. , • Communicate complex ideas in a concise manner. , • Disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 6 years' experience in technical writing. , • Understand and explain complex technical concepts. , • Strong research and analytical skills. , • Excellent technical writing skills. , • Excellent verbal communication skills. , • Good working knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs. , • Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines.
