Key job responsibilities Amazon Music Community and Fandom is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer for our team in Sunnyvale or San Francisco office. As a Software Engineer, you will work both independently and alongside teams in Music, Amazon, and third-party to architect and develop large-scale solutions that will delight our customers through voice and visual experiences. You’ll also be coaching other engineers, developing engineering and operational processes, and encouraging excellence within the team. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience developing native mobile applications on iOS or Android using Swift/ObjC or Kotlin/Java
  • Experience developing cross-platform technologies, including React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform / Compose Multiplatform
  • -- AND/OR --
  • Experience developing backend services using Java, NodeJs
  • Experience with building large scale distributed systems on AWS or any other cloud provider.
  • Ability to work independently with partner teams to drive innovation and issue closure.
  • Passionate about building the best customer experience end to end
  • Goal-oriented and results-driven; thrives in a culture of ownership, delivery, and bias for action
  • Enjoys working in fast-paced environments, and communicates well with stakeholders, peers and team. About the team The Amazon Music Community and Fandom team is responsible for creating differentiated experiences for fans and artists. We are looking for new team members who are passionate about experimenting and innovating for customers, have a demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features and products, and is excited about having end-to-end ownership of high-impact, high-visibility projects. We build systems that are distributed on a large scale, spanning our music apps, web player, and voice-forward audio engagement on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa to support our customer base. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
