A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE WORKER As a Maintenance Worker, you ensure that everything in our facility, from our HVAC to plumbing, is in good working condition. You pride yourself on keeping the inn safe and secure for our guests. You repair a variety of items, work through a preventative maintenance list, and perform general safety checks. You're friendly and courteous to our guests and assist them as needed, going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction! You are fully informed of all problems or unusual matters so that prompt corrective action can be taken. You quickly respond to front desk and housekeeping reports to perform needed repairs that have been reported. You inform the front desk when actions are complete. Utilizing your knowledge, you also make recommendations for repairs and advise the general manager if an outside contractor is needed. Your other duties include maintaining the grounds, landscaping as needed, cleaning, painting, maintaining storage areas, procuring inventory, and more. You enjoy providing an attractive, clean, safe, and well-maintained property that our guests can enjoy! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MAINTENANCE WORKER • A 2-year technical or associate degree • At least 1 year of general maintenance experience • Technical knowledge (locks, HVAC, pool pumps, plumbing, electrical) • Ability to meet the physical demands typical of this position • Ability to work with machinery both indoors and outdoors, from vacuum cleaners to snow blowers Maintenance experience in a hotel is preferred, but not required. Can you accept directions and priorities from the supervisor and reliably follow through on tasks? Are you friendly and cheerful? Do you interact easily with people? Are you a collaborative team player? Are you able to work independently, with little supervision? Do you have problem-solving skills? If yes, you might just be perfect for this HVAC and plumbing hotel position! WORK SCHEDULE FOR A MAINTENANCE WORKER We want our hotel team to have a good work-life balance.
