Job Description
We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week. Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a web developer to join our Analytics Web Systems team. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and supporting software applications for new and existing systems. The position requires the person to: Design, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software programs and applications Effectively communicate with business users, team members, and management Design and implement robust, flexible, easily maintainable solutions to problems Identify and present opportunities for process improvement Desired Skills and Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. An understanding of object oriented and/or functional design paradigms and best practices High aptitude for logical thinking and pattern recognition Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and practices to overcome existing challenges Ability to adapt to constant change and innovation Understanding of Web technologies based on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript such as Angular Knowledge of Responsive Design (Mobile), Database Design (SQL), ASP.NET, WebAPI, Core MVC, C#, F#, C++, Automated Testing, Software Development Lifecycle, Agile Methodologies, or Version Control Practices (git) is a plus Benefits Auto-Owners offers a wide range of career opportunities, and we are seeking talent that will help us continue our long tradition of success.
