The ideal candidate will be an instructional leader, fostering an effective learning environment while overseeing the daily operations of the school. The Principal will manage policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are provided with a safe, inclusive, and high-achieving academic setting. Primary Responsibilities: • Instructional Leadership: Supervise instructional programs, evaluate lesson plans, and ensure research-based teaching strategies are implemented. • School Operations & Administration: Manage policies, compliance, budgeting, scheduling, and school-wide programs to support student learning. • Staff Supervision & Development: Hire, evaluate, train, and support staff while fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth. • Student Achievement & Discipline: Set high academic and behavioral expectations while maintaining student discipline policies. • Family & Community Engagement: Maintain active relationships with students, parents, and community stakeholders, acting as a liaison between the school and the community. • School Safety & Facility Oversight: Ensure the school remains a safe, organized, and functional learning environment. • Extracurricular & School Events: Support school-sponsored activities, attend student achievement events, and oversee the school’s extracurricular programs. • Collaboration with the Superintendent & Board: Provide updates, recommend policy changes, and work in partnership with district leadership to enhance student success. Qualifications • Education & Certification: Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field; Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Principal Administrative Endorsement (Type 75). • Experience: Minimum of four years in an educational setting, preferably as a teacher and administrator. • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage school operations and foster student growth. • Technical Proficiency: Experience with business office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools. • Professionalism: Ability to maintain positive, professional, and courteous relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members. Salary/Benefits • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
