Remote - Software QA Tester

- The organization is in search of a proficient QA Engineer Automated 2 to enhance their team. This position is centered on sophisticated software quality assurance and testing processes, which encompass both the creation and implementation of automated and manual test cases, performance evaluations, and teamwork with development units to guarantee the integrity of intricate web applications. The selected candidate will be instrumental in facilitating the IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System) initiatives. Key responsibilities include the thorough analysis of user requirements, design specifications, and other relevant documentation to formulate comprehensive test cases that ensure all functionalities are adequately covered. - The candidate will be tasked with the development and execution of automated functional and regression test cases utilizing industry-standard tools such as Selenium and TestNG, ensuring that the software meets the required quality standards. - It is essential for the QA Engineer to meticulously report and document all identified issues, test cases, outcomes, and overall testing summaries, providing a clear and detailed account of the testing process. - Manual testing and data validation will also be a critical component of the role, ensuring that the application operates as intended and meets user expectations. - The role requires executing SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data effectively for testing purposes, ensuring that the database interactions are functioning correctly. - Collaboration with development teams and stakeholders is vital to comprehend the application's functionality and to define the parameters for test case automation, fostering a shared understanding of quality expectations. - The QA Engineer will conduct performance and accessibility testing using tools such as WAPT Pro or JMeter, ensuring that the applications not only function correctly but also perform efficiently under various conditions. - Candidates should possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in testing complex web applications and a comprehensive understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Preferred qualifications include at least 5 years of experience with Database/SQL language, 3 years with test automation tools like Selenium and TestNG, and familiarity with performance testing tools such as WAPT Pro or JMeter, along with experience using JIRA and Zephyr Scale for test management. Strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting are also essential.
