Job Responsibilities: Developer role would involve designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions specifically within the Duck Creek Reinsurance platform, focusing on functionalities related to managing reinsurance contracts, calculations, claims processing, and reporting, requiring a strong understanding of insurance industry practices, reinsurance concepts, and proficiency in Duck Creek development tools and programming languages. Required Skills and Experience: Technical Skills: • Designing and implementing custom configurations and customizations within the Duck Creek Reinsurance platform to meet specific reinsurance treaty and facultative requirements. • Writing code using Duck Creek development tools to implement features like reinsurance calculations, claim recoveries, ceded and assumed reinsurance processing, and reporting functionalities. • Integrating the Duck Creek Reinsurance system with other insurance systems like policy administration, claims management, and accounting platforms. • Strong proficiency in Duck Creek development tools and programming languages (e.g., .NET, C#, XML, XSLT). • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server). • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Domain Expertise: • Deep understanding of reinsurance concepts, including treaties, facultative placements, claims handling, and accounting processes. • Familiarity with insurance industry standards and regulations.
