Service Associate I (25 hours)

About the position The Service Associate I position at Eastern Bank involves a combination of customer service and teller responsibilities, focusing on achieving sales and service goals. The role requires engaging with customers to open accounts, process loans, and provide various banking services while ensuring compliance with operational policies. Responsibilities • Open deposit accounts , • Prepare and process loan applications for various lending units , • Close loans for customers for applicable business lines , • Make referrals to other bank business lines and third-party partners , • Proactively reach out to high-value customers to retain and grow the portfolio , • Sell annuities and/or insurance products for licensed individuals , • Ensure operational compliance and adherence to policy , • Handle daily account maintenance and service issues , • Process deposits to customer accounts , • Cash checks for customers and non-customers , • Process and properly record the sale of monetary instruments , • File government-mandated reports related to large cash transactions , • Process foreign currency purchases and sales , • Process various types of loan payments and credit card cash advances Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required , • 1-2 years of sales experience in a retail, financial services or hospitality environment preferred , • Some banking experience preferred , • Basic business acumen and professionalism , • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly , • Ability to build relationships and strong alliances , • Ability to quickly learn all details about the products and services offered by the bank Nice-to-haves • Experience in a fast-paced environment , • Outgoing self-starter , • Technically literate Benefits • Medical insurance , • Dental insurance , • Vision insurance , • Life insurance , • Disability insurance , • Retirement plan , • Vacation , • Tuition reimbursement Apply Job!
