Remote Pharmacy Technician A-Line Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Remote Pharmacy Technician. Job Description: The Remote Pharmacy Technician will take incoming calls from members, providers, and others, providing professional phone assistance through the criteria-based prior authorization process. Responsibilities include maintaining complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials and transferring all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist. Schedule & Location: • Work from Home (WFH) Position Salary/Wage: • $21.24 per hour Duties: • Handle high-volume inbound calls in a professional and courteous manner. • Assist members and providers with prior authorization processes. • Accurately document approvals and denials. • Transfer clinical questions to the pharmacist. • Maintain a dedicated, quiet workspace with wired internet (25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload minimum). Required Qualifications: • Minimum 1-year experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function. • Minimum 1-year experience in a high-volume call center in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position (clearly listed on resume). • Advanced computer skills (word processing and spreadsheets). • Excellent written and verbal customer service skills. • Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred but not required at the State or National level. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to sit and focus on work for the duration of the shift without interruptions. Education: • High school diploma or equivalent required.
