Online Tutor (Certified Teachers Only)| Flexible Schedule (Evening Hours)

We offer one-on-one and small-group virtual tutoring sessions designed to help students achieve academic success. Position Summary: We are seeking dedicated, certified teachers to join our virtual tutoring team. Tutors will provide engaging, high-quality instruction in various subjects while maintaining a professional and student-centered approach. Tutors set their own schedules, and our platform matches them with students based on subject expertise and availability. This is a remote, virtual, contract-based position. Compensation & Schedule: Pay Rate: $40 per hour (paid twice a month) Session Length: ? 1:1 Tutoring: 1-hour sessions ? Small Group Tutoring: 1 to 2 hour sessions Payment Schedule: ? Tutors are paid on the 15th and 30th of each month for completed sessions. ? Payments are processed only for successfully delivered tutoring sessions. Scheduling & Flexibility: ? Tutors set their own availability, and the platform schedules sessions accordingly. ? Must be available for a minimum of 5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: ? Conduct live virtual tutoring sessions in alignment with best teaching practices. ? Sign in at least 5 minutes before each scheduled session and stay for the entire session duration (no early endings). ? Create a positive, engaging, and student-centered learning experience. ? Complete detailed session logs after each tutoring session. ? Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and the TutorsTOK support team. ? Stay up-to-date with best pedagogical practices by attending ongoing (non-paid) professional development training. ? Ensure that tutoring methods align with state and national educational standards. ? Maintain a minimum 4-star rating (out of 5) from students to stay eligible for hire. Required Qualifications: ? Must be a certified teacher (Valid U.S. state certification required). ? Must have a valid U.S. work permit to be eligible for payment. ? Must have a strong internet connection, a webcam, and a quiet professional setting. ? Must be comfortable using virtual meeting tools and online learning platforms like Zoom and Google Classroom. ? Must pass a background check before being assigned students. ? Must be professional, punctual, and reliable. Preferred Qualifications: ? Experience with personalized learning and differentiated instruction. ? Prior experience in test prep, college readiness, or K-12 subject tutoring. ? Familiarity with edtech tools, digital whiteboards, and online teaching strategies. ? Experience with virtual teaching or online tutoring.
