Junior Finance Systems Analyst (Dentons Business Services EMEA)

Finance Systems Team is looking for a Junior Finance Systems Analyst to support operations in Europe. The key responsibilities for this role are to troubleshoot and improve performance of finance systems, maintain current systems as well as learn new systems. He or she will work closely with IT and Finance Teams all over the Europe. The individual is also expected to contribute to our Global Transformation Projects. About the role • All aspects of End User support: resolving issues from users and escalating where necessary. • Quickly and efficiently corresponds with users to answer their questions. • Assist in troubleshooting performance issues on the database such as slow running queries. • Monitoring and maintaining SQL server agent jobs. Ensuring that backup and related maintenance jobs are running and troubleshooting problems or errors. • Working independently as well as collaboratively within the team. • Communicating back to the team with any concerns or questions to understand the best approach to solving users’ issues. Technical Skills – Required • Proven experience as a support of business/financial systems. • Experience with T-SQL language and its variation among relational databases (RDBMS). • Experience in SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio. • Understanding of data analysis and process modelling. • Strong overall IT skills. Further Skills • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; in particular, ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people for whom English is not their native language. • Objective focused with a tenacious appetite to provide the highest level of service. • Able to demonstrate excellent customer/client facing skills. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to build internal and external relationships.
