About the position As the Director of Enterprise Information Protection (EIP) Cybersecurity Engineering at Humana, you will play a pivotal role in building a robust data foundation that supports our cybersecurity initiatives. This position focuses on integrating data engineering with automation processes to enhance operational efficiencies and improve the overall performance of our cybersecurity functions. You will oversee three key teams: EIP Data Engineering, EIP Metrics, and Intelligent Automation, which includes AI and RPA. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a vision and roadmap for data collection, integration, and cleansing, ensuring that data is accessible and actionable for automation engineers and data analysts. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the delivery of multiple EIP teams, prioritizing their capacity towards the most beneficial projects, and accelerating the speed of delivery. You will guide your team in building and maintaining data processing architectures that convert both structured and unstructured data into valuable insights at an enterprise scale. Additionally, you will architect a data lake strategy that standardizes data frameworks and models for metrics and reporting across EIP. Collaboration is key in this position; you will work closely with data scientists, analysts, business units, and IT teams to ensure that our data solutions align with organizational needs. You will also develop solutions that leverage advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to transform data into actionable insights, ultimately enhancing our ability to serve our members effectively. Your decisions will impact the implementation of new programs and large-scale projects, driving strategic goals and improving performance across the organization. Responsibilities • Create a vision and roadmap for a strong data foundation and approach to collect, integrate, and cleanse data. , • Enable data to be used by automation engineers and data analysts for automated reporting and machine learning processes. , • Optimize multiple EIP delivery teams to prioritize capacity towards greatest benefits and accelerate speed of delivery. , • Guide a team to build and maintain data processing architectures and solutions for efficient data conversion. , • Architect and build a data lake strategy for consistent data frameworks and models for metrics and reporting. , • Ingest data from internal and external sources using cloud-native platforms and best practices. , • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, business units, and IT teams to ensure data solutions meet organizational needs. , • Develop solutions leveraging AI, machine learning, and big-data techniques to transform data into insights. , • Make data accessible for EIP to evaluate and optimize performance and achieve operational efficiency goals. , • Build scalable reusable data models and solutions to measure operational effectiveness and risks. , • Guide the team on automating manual processes using AI and RPA. Requirements • 10+ years of experience in Cyber Security or a related environment. , • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Information Services, IT, Information Security, Computer Science, etc.). , • Expertise in building and managing data pipelines across decentralized sources. , • Proficiency in using Azure Data Factory for decentralized ETL/ELT processes. , • Experience in integrating distributed data sources through APIs. , • Ability to implement and manage data catalogs and data sharing platforms in decentralized environments. , • Proven experience in designing and managing decentralized data architectures. , • Knowledge of decentralized data governance focusing on distributed data ownership. , • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to influence senior leaders. , • Ability to implement best practices for decentralized data quality and access control. , • Experience in enabling organizations with Information Security initiatives.
