Online Adulting Skills Teacher for Teens
The Gifted Teacher, LLC is an educational organization of highly-skilled or award-winning teachers providing engaging online instruction and entertainment to children. We are looking for a charismatic, self-directed interactive teacher that can provide a mix adulting skills for teens in an interesting way. You will be responsible for delivering engaging online instruction. Curriculum slides will be provided, but a knowledge of adulting skills including building credit scores, how to interview and fill out a job application, college admittance tips, what to do in common emergency situations, how to have a healthy romantic relationship, proper restaurant etiquette, how to tip, taxes and insurance, and proper phone and email etiquette is necessary. Sometimes this information requires the teacher to be able to handle sensitive situations professionally. This independent contractor should have a quiet desk area in their home in front of a blank wall or an aesthetically-pleasing background students can see to teach in front of. The background doesn't need to be classroom-like. The ideal candidate will have a true love for engaging with teens. We are looking for someone that has a demeanor they'll enjoy. The teacher must possess a strength with relationship building while also having consistent, strong classroom management skills and be comfortable using Zoom. This role requires a high-speed internet connection, a computer with a strong processor, a good quality web cam, and the ability to purchase a two ring lights to use while teaching. The teacher must be able to pass a background check. This independent contractor teaching position allows you to pick your own days and hours for teaching that you can be consistent with each week. Responsibilities Provide highly-effective adult life skills to teens Present interactive online lessons in an engaging manner seamlessly while utilizing Zoom Maintain a patient, cheerful and kind demeanor even during sometimes stressful situations Be self-directed and dependable. Punctuality to every online lesson is a must! Maintain a tidy, well-lit, quiet environment in your home where you'll be teaching Communicate with parents and students quickly and effectively when needed Build strong, positive relationships with students Maintain a positive classroom environment Utilize strong online classroom management to ensure each student can hear and participate Ensure children's safety online Be inclusive of children who may have diverse learning or cultural needs Maintain a neat, professional appearance Skills Charismatic personality Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills Well-organized and dependable Patient Strong moral values and discipline Experience with children Strong computer skills Ability to remain composed, calm and cheerful even under pressure Compensation $32-$42 per 40-50 minute class taught bonuses available based on parent feedback ??
