Company : Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW: Assists and supports the nurses and physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assists with electrophysiology procedures. Operates laboratory and imaging equipment used in the performance of electrophysiology studies. Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and contacts proper support personnel. (60%) • Performs sheath removal. (15%) • May maintain the inventory and station management system for supplies. (10%) • Performs technical interrogation of implanted devices (15%) • Performs other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum • Associates degree or equivalent experience • BLS certification • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire • 1 year experience in general Radiology Preferred • One year experience in Electrophysiology or Cath Lab • Radiography Certification and Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Disclaimer: The job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this job title.
