About the position Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Automation Tester with Ruby expertise to join our dynamic team of IT professionals in a permanent remote role. As part of Cognizant's Quality Engineering and Assurance (QEA) practice, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality automation solutions to our clients, which include over 50 Fortune 100 companies. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in test automation, particularly with Ruby, to contribute to agile teams utilizing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of automation frameworks and solutions. Your experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance domain will be beneficial as you validate API functionality through REST/API service testing. You will also be expected to support both onshore and offshore models, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $80,000, depending on your experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will be eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program based on performance. Responsibilities • Work in agile teams utilizing BDD, Cucumber, Gitlab, and Jenkins. , • Demonstrate expertise in Property and Casualty Insurance. , • Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices effectively. , • Devise enterprise-level automation solutions and frameworks as an automation architect, if applicable. , • Conduct REST/API service testing to validate API functionality. , • Support onshore and offshore models in project execution. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or equivalent. , • 4-6 years of experience in test automation with at least 2+ years of experience in Ruby. , • Proficiency in GITHUB, UI and Ruby scripting, API testing, mobile testing, Postman, and Jira. , • Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience in the insurance domain is an added advantage. , • Familiarity with automation architecture and the ability to research and learn new tools/technologies.
