About the position At Regions, the Bank Operations Vault Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the supply of coin and currency to various functional units. This position is essential for ensuring that the vault maintains established levels of cash, which is vital for the smooth operation of banking services. The specialist is responsible for placing orders for cash from the Federal Reserve Bank as needed, verifying the sums of coin and currency received from functional units, customers, and branch associates, and addressing any discrepancies by contacting the appropriate sender. Additionally, the specialist prepares and ships excess coin and currency to the Federal Reserve Bank or other functional units as required. This role also includes performing vault support services tasks and responding to inquiries via phone, email, and a ticketing system. The position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Bank Operations Vault Specialist must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, particularly for positions within physical vaults. This role is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act, emphasizing the importance of time tracking in this position.
