Distribution Center Associate Job Description of Distribution Center Associate: The role of UPS Distribution Center Associate, also known as Warehouse Workers, cannot be overstated in the effective functioning of the company's logistics operations. This position involves loading and unloading packages from UPS signature brown trucks or trailers, and ensuring sorted packages are delivered in a timely fashion. Key to succeeding as a Package Handler is physical fitness, attention to details, and the ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with other team members. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Distribution Center Associate: • Responsibly handle and move parcels up to 70 lbs with safety precautions in mind. • Carry out the job of taking out and inputting goods in UPS trucks and trailers. • Systematically arrange the parcels in the transportation vehicles to ensure they are loaded and unloaded promptly and efficiently. • Foster a collaborative environment to ensure the team functions smoothly. • Practice safety standards and protocols to avoid any untoward incidents.
