About the position The Medicare Broker Sales Manager is a pivotal role within Cigna Healthcare, responsible for executing the Medicare strategy for local topline sales agencies, directly contracted agents, and broker down-line sales within the designated market. This position is crucial for managing a book of business through effective training, relationship management, member retention, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will be based in or near the Dallas, East Texas area, as local travel is a significant component of the role, with expectations of 75% local travel. Candidates must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and insurance. While being bilingual is preferred, it is not a requirement. A valid local state Agent Health and Life Insurance license is mandatory for this position. In this role, the Medicare Broker Sales Manager will be responsible for executing a multi-year local broker strategy, influencing brokers to increase sales by effectively positioning Cigna's products and promoting the brand. The manager will work closely with downline sales agencies and local direct agencies to drive profitable growth through education and expansion of Medicare Advantage (MA) products. Additionally, the role involves developing and executing strategies for direct agents to enhance member retention and drive growth. The manager will also be tasked with searching for new local and regional agencies and agents to cultivate and grow relationships. This includes managing a territory, maintaining contacts, and employing a long-term vision approach to sales. The position requires executing on market and region sales goals and objectives, which may include organizing sales events, training sessions, and branding initiatives. The Medicare Broker Sales Manager will communicate and monitor downline agency sales goals against production within their book of business, assist in recruiting efforts, business plan development, and new agent training. Furthermore, the role involves conducting sales presentations for prospects and leveraging community partnerships to host events, ensuring that sales objectives through the broker channel are met or exceeded. Responsibilities • Execute multi-year local broker strategy for book of business , • Influence brokers to sell more by positioning our product and promoting our brand , • Execute on national topline strategies with downline sales agencies & local direct agencies to drive profitable growth through down-line sales , • Develop & execute direct agent strategies to drive profitable growth and member retention , • Search for new local/regional agencies & agents to cultivate and grow , • Manage contacts and exercise long-term vision approach within a territory , • Execute on strategy to expand sales efforts across multiple products as appropriate , • Execute on market / region sales goals and objectives (sales events, training, branding, etc.) , • Communicate and monitor downline agency sales goals against production within their book of business , • Assist in recruiting, business plan development and new agent training , • Meet or exceed sales objectives through broker channel , • Conduct advertised sales presentations for prospects and leverage community partnerships to host events , • Meet with brokers and agencies to build relationships and promote our brand , • Produce campaign and event tracking reports showing return on investments and key initiatives using data and excel , • Carry out appropriate sales activity standards as directed by their manager , • Report daily & weekly activities to ensure alignment with creating incremental sales consistent with market goals Requirements • Valid local state Agent Health and Life Insurance license is required , • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance required , • Experience in sales management or broker management in the healthcare industry , • Strong relationship management skills , • Ability to influence and motivate brokers and agents , • Proficient in data analysis and reporting using Excel , • Excellent communication and presentation skills Nice-to-haves • Bilingual preferred, but not required , • Experience with Medicare Advantage products , • Familiarity with local healthcare market dynamics
