About the position At CCMSI, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Line Liability Claim Representative II to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This position is pivotal in managing bodily injury (BI) and property damage (PD) claims for our national commercial trucking clients. As a leading Third Party Administrator in self-insurance services, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards of professionalism and accuracy in claims handling. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in handling BI/PD claims, preferably within a third-party administration context, and will be responsible for investigating and adjusting claims in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. In this role, you will be tasked with reviewing medical, legal, and miscellaneous invoices to ensure they are reasonable and related to ongoing liability claims. You will negotiate disputed bills, authorize payments, and negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys, all while adhering to client authorizations. Additionally, you will assist in the selection and supervision of defense attorneys and monitor subrogation claims for resolution. Your ability to prepare detailed reports on claims, payments, and reserves will be crucial, as will your compliance with service commitments established by the team. This position not only offers the chance to work on complex, high-exposure claims but also serves as a stepping stone for future promotions to senior-level claim positions. Responsibilities • Investigate and adjust multi-line liability claims in accordance with established claims handling procedures using CCMSI guidelines and direct supervision. , • Review medical, legal and miscellaneous invoices to determine if reasonable and related to the ongoing liability claims. , • Negotiate any disputed bills for resolution. , • Authorize and make payment of liability claims utilizing a claim payment program in accordance with industry standards and within settlement authority. , • Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys in accordance with client's authorization. , • Assist in selection and supervision of defense attorneys. , • Assess and monitor subrogation claims for resolution. , • Prepare reports detailing claims, payments and reserves. , • Provide reports and monitor files, as required by excess insurers. , • Compliance with Service Commitments as established by team. , • Delivery of quality claim service to clients. , • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • 5 to 10 years of experience in claims management or equivalent education. , • Excellent oral and written communication skills. , • Strong organizational abilities and ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks. , • Flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. , • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. , • Ability to work as a team member in a rapidly changing environment. , • Reliable and predictable attendance within client service hours. Nice-to-haves • Adjuster's license (preferred but not required). , • Experience in third-party administration (TPA) is preferred.
