About the position Amtrust Financial Services is a fast-growing commercial insurance company seeking a highly technical, inquisitive, and driven Claims Specialist (Adjuster) with expertise in handling Commercial General Liability Bodily Injury (GLBI) claims. The successful candidate will exclusively handle GLBI claims, evaluating coverage issues and risk transfer opportunities while ensuring prompt and thorough investigation of the underlying facts and circumstances. This role requires the retention and utilization of proper experts when necessary, as well as comfort with litigation management, including the selection and utilization of counsel. Excellent negotiation skills and strategy setting are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities • Handle Commercial General Liability Bodily Injury (GLBI) claims exclusively. , • Evaluate coverage issues and risk transfer opportunities. , • Ensure prompt and thorough investigation of claims. , • Retain and utilize proper experts as necessary for claims management. , • Manage litigation processes, including the selection and utilization of counsel. , • Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills and strategy setting. , • Act with integrity in financial and professional dealings, ensuring prompt and accurate reserving and resolution. , • Support team members through knowledge sharing and collaboration. , • Fulfill reporting requirements to supervisors, Home Office, SIU, client companies, and reinsurers. Requirements • 3+ years of experience with commercial injury/GLBI claims of high value. , • Significant experience working with claims in litigation. , • Thorough understanding of the lines of business, including laws, principles of coverage, liability, and the insurance industry. , • Strong analytical and human relations skills. , • Ability to operate business technology effectively. , • Effective communication skills, both oral and written. , • Adjuster licensing is required.
