Infusion therapy involves administering medication through a vein, typically for conditions that cannot be treated effectively with oral medications. This includes intravenous compounds, intramuscular injections, epidural routes, and more. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Intake Authorization Specialist with expertise in home infusion and a strong knowledge of HCPCS and ICD-10 coding. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our growing business by ensuring accurate and timely authorization of services and verifying patients' insurance coverage. Responsibilities: • Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients. • Request authorizations for services as required. • Accurately enter patient profiles and medical documents into the pharmacy system. • Adjudicate pharmacy benefit claims, including Medicare Part D. Qualifications: • Required: Prior experience in home infusion. • Preferred: Familiarity with HCPCS and ICD-10 coding. • Experience adjudicating pharmacy benefit claims, particularly Medicare Part D. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
