About the position The Full Charge Bookkeeper/Office Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and managing the accounting processes of the organization. This role involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks. Responsibilities • Maintaining a coherent system of accounts with supporting filing systems , • Managing accounts payable (A/P) and recording invoices , • Issuing invoices and collection efforts for accounts receivable (A/R) , • Reconciling bank accounts , • Maintaining accuracy of the general ledger , • Preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements , • Handling 401K transmittal and distribution via TPA , • Recording financial transactions using double-entry bookkeeping principles , • Preparing and posting journal entries , • Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies , • Processing payroll and ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations , • Generating financial reports and statements as needed , • Utilizing accounting software (QuickBooks) to perform bookkeeping tasks efficiently and accurately , • Ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial transactions and reporting Requirements • Proficient in double-entry bookkeeping principles, debits, credits, and journal entries , • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices , • Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software , • Knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation , • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping , • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively , • Previous experience as a full-charge bookkeeper , • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft programs , • Ability to work to a strict deadline , • Good communication skills Nice-to-haves • Associate degree in accounting or related field (Preferred) , • 4 years of bookkeeping experience (Required) Benefits • 401(k) , • Dental insurance , • Disability insurance , • Flexible schedule , • Health insurance , • Life insurance , • Paid time off Apply Job!
