About the position As a Music Instructor specializing in drums at School of Rock, you will play a crucial role in delivering performance-based music education to students. This part-time position emphasizes creating a dynamic and inspiring learning environment, ensuring students not only learn music but also develop essential life skills through the art of performance. The role offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to be part of a passionate community dedicated to enriching lives through music. Responsibilities • Maximize the quality of music instruction through private lessons and show rehearsals. , • Ensure students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs, using the School of Rock Method™. , • Create and document thoughtful lesson plans using our patented teaching Method, Books and Method App. , • Communicate with parents on the progress of students by creating quality lesson notes and assignments in the School of Rock Method App for at-home practice. , • Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible while at the school. , • Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program. , • Assist in rehearsals and with the upkeep of lesson facilities. Requirements • 2+ years experience teaching and/or performing music professionally. , • Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design. , • Strong customer relations skills. , • Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers. , • Strong organizational skills. , • Resourceful; good problem-solver. , • Works well under pressure. , • Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor. , • Passion for teaching.
