Accounting and Financial Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial management department, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day internal accounting functions and tax-related activities. Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day internal accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. • Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. • Monitor and analyze tax accounting and related issues to ensure compliance with changing tax laws. • Work with external auditors and tax consultants as necessary to prepare for audits and filing deadlines. • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting and tax functions. • Support budget preparation and cash flow forecasting. • Conduct monthly reconciliation of accounts and investigate variances. Requirements • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in tax accounting preferred. • Certification: CPA or equivalent certification required. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and MS Office, with a concentration on Excel. Familiarity with tax preparation software is a plus. • Knowledge: Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations. Apply Job!
