Pre-Registration Rep Part-time

About the position The Pre-Registration Representative at Parallon is responsible for managing the pre-registration process for patients, ensuring accurate collection of demographic and financial information prior to their scheduled services. This part-time role involves engaging with patients via phone to confirm details, explaining insurance benefits, and documenting information in the health information system. The position is integral to enhancing patient experience and operational efficiency within the healthcare setting. Responsibilities • Perform pre-registration at least one day prior to the date of service for all in-scope services. , • Review patient insurance and benefits to explain, quote, and collect estimated patient cost share. , • Contact patients via phone to confirm or obtain missing demographic information. , • Receive inbound calls to confirm or obtain missing demographic information. , • Complete Medicare Secondary Payor Questionnaire as applicable. , • Utilize appropriate escalation processes to the facilities. , • Utilize provided guides to efficiently quote policies, answer inquiries, and direct patients. , • Ensure appropriate documentation is entered in standard format on the patient record in the applicable Health Information System. , • Meet/exceed performance expectations and complete work within required timeframes. , • Implement and follow system downtime procedures when necessary. , • Practice and adhere to the 'Code of Conduct' philosophy and 'Mission and Value Statement'. , • Adhere to all department policies, processes, and procedures. , • Assist with other call center lines of business based on need. Requirements • High school diploma or GED preferred. , • One year of related experience preferred.
