About the Role
The Apex Bank seeks a skilled Mortgage Underwriter to manage the mortgage application process from start to finish. This includes reviewing applications, analyzing creditworthiness, and communicating with lenders. Main Responsibilities Application Processing: Manage the end-to-end process of mortgage applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate. Credit Evaluation: Evaluate applicants' credit history and financial information to assess their creditworthiness. Lender Liaison: Act as a liaison between lenders and applicants, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Application Escalation: Identify and escalate complex applications that require managerial approval. Credit Terms and Conditions: Negotiate and establish credit terms, pricing, and conditions during the application approval process. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and concerns. Requirements and Qualifications To excel in this role, you should have: Mortgage Underwriting Experience: A proven track record of successful mortgage underwriting experience. Credit Regulations Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of credit regulations and industry standards. Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills to effectively interact with lenders and customers.
