Position: Remote Writing Counselor Job Summary As a Writing Counselor at Dream Big, you will work 1:1 with international students, providing personalized guidance on writing their personal statements and application essays. You will be assigned approximately 20 hours of online and offline interaction per student, helping them craft compelling narratives that align with the expectations of Ivy League and top 100 global universities. Key Responsibilities • Provide expert guidance on writing personal statements and application essays for top-tier university applications. • Conduct thorough 1:1 sessions with students to refine their writing and develop strong narratives. • Offer critical feedback on essay drafts to ensure clarity, coherence, and impactful storytelling. • Assist students in articulating their experiences, achievements, and goals in a way that aligns with university admissions criteria. • Collaborate with students online and offline to meet their deadlines and provide ongoing support throughout the application process. • Stay updated on admissions trends and requirements for top global universities. Qualifications • Must be a graduate of a top 100 university globally. • Previous experience as a committee head or senior admissions role at a top 100 global university. • Significant experience with admissions processes, particularly for Ivy League or equivalent universities. • Strong ability to mentor and guide students in writing compelling, high-impact essays and personal statements. • Comfortable working with international students and providing cross-cultural communication support. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
