Minimum Hours: 16 hours/week to start, with potential for more hours or a transition to full-time ? Location: Preference for candidates in Seattle, WA, or New York; open to fully remote in the US for the right candidate ? Compensation: $22?$35/hour (commensurate with experience) ? Start Date: Flexible; ideally within 2?4 weeks Key Responsibilities ? Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, Sole Proprietors, Partnerships, S Corps, and other entity types. ? Prepare quarterly and year-end tax projections to help clients plan effectively and optimize their tax strategies. ? Prepare extensions as needed, ensuring compliance with federal and state deadlines. ? Ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations. ? Collaborate with team members to develop and implement proactive tax strategies that meet client needs. ? Serve as the primary contact for tax-related inquiries, working with team members to deliver clear and actionable guidance. ? Maintain organized, secure records of client tax returns and supporting documentation. ? Leverage technology to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. Required Qualifications ? Experience: 4 years preparing individual and business tax returns, with extensive familiarity working with Schedule C clients (self-employed individuals and sole proprietors). ? Preferred Certifications: Active PTIN; CPA, EA ? Software Proficiency: ? Required: Lacerte, Adobe, Microsoft Excel, G Suite ? Preferred: TaxDome ? Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal and multi-state tax laws ? Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy ? Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality. ? Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
