We are currently in search of skilled Legal/Judicial contract candidates who possess substantial experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This position is entirely remote, offering Independent Contractors the flexibility to work from home. Key Responsibilities • Transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings with a meticulous focus on detail. • Produce verbatim transcripts by accurately processing audio recordings while adhering to client-specific style guides. • Collaborate effectively with our supportive in-office team for guidance and assistance whenever required. • Manage workload efficiently to meet strict deadlines. Required Skills • Demonstrated experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription. • Exceptional listening skills and a strong command of grammar and literacy. • Proficiency in typing with both speed and accuracy. • Familiarity with legal terminology and the ability to handle sensitive content with professionalism. • Capability to work independently and remotely while meeting deadlines. Qualifications • Proven experience in transcribing legal documents, particularly depositions and hearings. • Court reporting students may be considered. • Ability to pass a background check is mandatory. • This opportunity is not available to residents of Massachusetts or California.
