Job Title: Workday Software Testing Engineer Experience: 2-5 Years Location: Ahmedabad ( Work from Home) Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Workday Software Testing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability of Workday implementation. This includes testing configurations, integrations, business processes, and customizations across various Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Financials, and Recruiting. The candidate will work closely with Development organization to identify issues, recommend solutions, and deliver a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Planning and Strategy: • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies tailored to Workday modules and integrations. • Identify testing scope and priorities based on project requirements. 2. Test Case Development: • Create, review, and maintain detailed test cases and scripts for functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing. • Document edge cases and complex business scenarios. 3. Functional Testing: • Validate Workday configurations, including business processes, security roles, workflows, and custom reports. • Test critical Workday modules such as Core HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Benefits, Recruiting, and Financials. • Validate any other HRMS product configurations, including business processes, security roles, workflows, and custom reports 4. Integration Testing: • Test inbound and outbound integrations between Workday / any HRMS product and third-party systems (e.g., payroll systems, benefit providers, and financial tools). • Verify data flows and ensure the accuracy of API and file-based integrations. 5. Automation Testing: (for Automation Engineers) • Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools like Kainos Smart or Worksoft Certify. [Preferred] • Develop and execute automated test scripts using open source / commercially available tools to the extent of developing frameworks [keyword /data driven / hybrid] • Maintain and optimize regression test suites for continuous testing. 6. Defect Management: • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. • Work closely with developers and consultants to resolve issues and validate fixes. 7. UAT Support: [open to] • Partner with business users to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing guidance and capturing feedback. • Ensure end-to-end business process validations align with organizational goals. 8. Collaboration and Communication: • Work closely with Development organization, and Workday consultants to understand requirements and configurations. • Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders. 9. Post-Deployment Testing: • Conduct smoke and sanity testing post-deployment to ensure system stability in production. • Monitor system performance and provide ongoing quality assurance. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Requirements: • 2-5 years of experience in Workday testing or ERP/HRIS testing. • Hands-on experience testing Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Financials). • Familiarity with Workday tools, including Workday Studio and EIB testing. Technical Skills: • Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., TestRail, ALM, JIRA). • Experience with test automation tools like Kainos Smart, Worksoft Certify, or Java/Selenium. • Strong knowledge of data validation, SQL, and integration testing methodologies. • Familiarity with APIs, XML, and data transformation processes. Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality. Preferred Skills: • Workday certification in HCM, Payroll, or Integrations. • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter. • Knowledge of agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. • Understanding of security testing practices.
