Position: Weekend On-Call Telephone Support Location: Remote (Work from Home) Hours: 7am Saturday to 7am Monday (Alternative Weekends) Rate: £300 per weekend We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading Home Care Agency, for a Weekend On-Call Telephone Support role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dependable and proactive individual to provide essential out-of-hours telephone support to care workers and clients during the weekend. Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing telephone support from 7am on Saturday to 7am on Monday (alternative weekends), handling sporadic calls related to urgent issues, rota management, and general queries from care staff or clients. The role offers a flexible work-from-home setup with a weekend rate of £300. Key Responsibilities: • Responding to incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner throughout the weekend. • Evaluating the nature of each call and taking appropriate action. • Managing last-minute scheduling and rota changes for care staff alongside Scheduling Team. • Problem-solving and offering practical solutions to any issues that arise, ensuring continuity of care services. • Escalating critical or complex issues to the agency’s management team as needed. • Logging all calls and outcomes in an organised and efficient manner. Key Requirements: • Strong common sense and the ability to think on your feet. • Excellent phone manner, with a calm, patient, and professional approach to handling calls. • Problem-solving skills, capable of thinking outside the box to offer practical solutions. • Prior experience in telephone support, customer service, or the care sector is advantageous but not essential. • Ability to remain composed under pressure and show empathy during sensitive situations. • A good understanding of rota management or experience in the care industry is a bonus; full training will be provided. • Must have access to a reliable phone and a quiet space to work from during on-call hours.
