Freelance UI/UX Engineer (On-Demand)

Job Description: We are seeking a top-tier Freelance UI/UX Engineer to design user interfaces and experiences for high-stakes software development projects. This role, under a Master Service Agreement (MSA), requires a designer who excels at translating complex requirements into intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing designs. Your role will be crucial in the bid defense process, helping to present design concepts that enhance the overall solution's appeal to clients. Key Responsibilities: • Design Excellence: Lead the end-to-end design process for web and mobile applications, ensuring the user experience is at the forefront of all design decisions. Your designs must not only meet functional requirements but also delight users and promote engagement. • Bid Defense Contributions: Work closely with the sales and technical teams to develop visual prototypes, wireframes, and mockups that clearly convey the UI/UX vision during bid defense presentations. Explain how your design... solutions align with the client’s goals and address their specific pain points. • User Research & Testing: Conduct user research, gather insights, and perform usability testing to ensure the design meets the needs of end users. Adapt designs based on feedback to continually improve the user experience. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with solution architects, developers, and project managers to ensure that designs are feasible, implementable, and in sync with the overall project timeline and budget. • Prototyping & Interaction Design: Create high-fidelity prototypes and interaction models using industry-standard tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. Your prototypes should illustrate the user journey and key interactions. • Design Systems & Guidelines: Develop and maintain UI/UX design systems, ensuring consistency across all platforms and projects. Requirements: • Extensive Experience in Software UI/UX Design: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience designing user interfaces for enterprise-level software solutions, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex web and mobile application projects. • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design. Strong understanding of responsive design principles, accessibility standards, and cross-platform compatibility. • Client-Facing Skills: Experience working directly with clients to gather requirements, present designs, and incorporate feedback into iterative design processes. Ability to explain design choices and user flows in bid defense settings. • Prototyping Expertise: Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping platforms such as InVision, Axure, or similar. Preferred Qualifications: • Specialization in SaaS or Enterprise Design: Experience designing user interfaces for SaaS products or complex enterprise software solutions, particularly in industries such as healthcare, fintech, or e-commerce.
